A non-profit that identifies, supports, and retains entrepreneurial talent in New Orleans. They have catalyzed an ecosystem that has provided direct support to over 3,000 New Orleans entrepreneurs by engaging over 2,400 professionals to allocate 72,295 consulting hours and $3.45 million in seed capital.

MBAx0 Summer 2013:

Developed a strategy for The Idea Village to support scaling businesses that are past startup phase, including a set of ideas that leveraged the Idea Village network inside and outside New Orleans to provide solutions to the challenges facing these scaling businesses. Two of the ideas will be piloted within the next year.

What we learned:

The power of seeing the country up close is in our ability to cross-pollinate — the cities we visit aren’t connected to one another but share many common challenges and opportunities. Entrepreneurship could be the tool that connects communities.
