John-Paul Julien


Born and raised in the great state of New Jersey, JP is a joint degree MBA / MPH candidate at Yale. He believes that economic empowerment plays a crucial role in shaping health outcomes, and views entrepreneurship as an ideal vehicle to support both individual and community well-being. The son of Trinidadian parents turned entrepreneurs, he is excited to learn from business owners across the country as his MBAx team hits the road this summer. A proud 2011 University of Pennsylvania alumnus (go Quakers!), JP will be spending the first half of his summer pursuing healthcare investment banking at Morgan Stanley.

Brittan Berry


Brittan is a 2016 MBA candidate at the Yale School of Management (SOM) and excited to hit the road this summer with her MBAx team. She graduated from Harvard in 2009 with a bachelor’s in Sociology and spent the year after graduation in South Africa doing community development work in rural townships heavily affected by HIV/AIDS. Before coming coming to Yale SOM, Brittan worked at Google on their People Operations team for four years. At Yale SOM, Brittan serves as the Student Government President and is involved in the entrepreneurship and social impact programs on campus. This summer she will be a product marketing intern on the Surface team at Microsoft.

Sarah Lockridge-Steckel


 Sarah Lockridge-Steckel grew up in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Harvard University, with a degree in Sociology. She began her career in nonprofit consulting at the Bridgespan Group, where she worked with incredible organizations to help them further their mission. She then moved to Memphis to work for Youth Villages, a national child welfare organization, supporting their planning and expansion efforts.

She is currently a first year MBA student at the Yale School of Management. At SOM, Sarah is passionate about supporting diversity in management through the Consortium, and exploring how business can further social justice aims in urban communities in the United States. Sarah is very excited about MBAxAmerica! She can’t wait to hit the road to meet amazing entrepreneurs and learn more about the opportunities and challenges facing businesses today.

Kevin Elliott


Kevin Elliott is a 1st year MBA candidate, c/o 2016 from Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to Yale SOM, he worked as a consultant at Accenture and later as a strategy analyst at Delta Air Lines. During his time at SOM, Kevin has kept busy as the 1st year lead for the Black Business Alliance and Entrepreneurship Club’s community interfacing initiatives. Kevin will serve as the incoming lead of these organizations his 2nd year.

Kevin is an aspiring entrepreneur and is passionate about how entrepreneurism can drive economic development. This summer, he will be working for Endeavor, a global nonprofit that creates startup ecosystems around the world. He will be working as an expansion consultant for Endeavor’s upcoming Atlanta launch.
