Motivated by an economic development engagement he led, Jourdan came to Ross hoping to develop skills that would allow him to have an even bigger impact on social enterprises. At Ross, Jourdan has focused on a variety of impact issues including education, food safety, and economic development. Jourdan recently completed his MBA, and plans to continue his social impact efforts in the Bay Area after MBAx.
I am a natural optimist, and excited to join the MBAs Across America movement to rebuild an economy that is vibrant, inclusive and positive. My passion for empowering people and building thriving, multicultural neighborhoods drives all of my professional pursuits, and this case is no different, plus it represents a new area of growth for me.
At the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, Joe is focused on entrepreneurship and strategy, is co-president of the Entrepreneur and Venture Club, and is a fellow on the student run pre-seed venture fund, the Zell Lurie Commercialization Fund. Joe has a BS in Communication Studies from the University of Texas at Austin.
This summer, before MBAx, Joe will be working on expanding Grown Up Sports and will be thinking about the challenges of small businesses well before pulling into town.
