MBAx2 Harvard Team

Ravi Dayabhai

Ravi hails from South Africa by way of the south-Atlantan suburb of Fayetteville, GA. After graduating from Georgia Tech (where he loaded up on finance and pre-med classes), he found himself in the nation’s capital working for Sands Capital Management, a long-only, concentrated growth investment management firm, as a Life Sciences Research Associate (and later, Senior Associate). Harvard Business School was the next waypoint in Ravi’s steady, Northern migration.

Ravi cannot wait to begin the MBAxAmerica journey and visit parts of the country before unknown to him. The most thrilling part of this adventure for him is applying the practices discussed everyday in the classroom to the socially impactful enterprises found in the nooks and crannies of America’s expansive geography. Having grown up in a household supported by his father’s small business, the challenges facing MBAxAmerica entrepreneurs is not lost on him.

Here’s to a summer full of inspiration, learning, and meaningful relationships!

Sam Lazarus

Sam was born in Washington DC and grew up in both St. Louis and Maryland. He graduated from Middlebury College as a joint Chinese-Geography major where he wrote a senior thesis on Chinese restaurants in the rural United States. Since graduation he has worked at the medical nonprofit Operation Smile as a Program Officer for East Asia and at a political risk consulting firm. In his free time he rock climbs, writes music, and aspires to write more. Ultimately though, he prefers good conversation over most anything else!

Greg Duggan

Prior to attending Harvard Business School, Gregory Duggan worked as an Associate at Onex Partners, a North American large-cap private equity fund headquartered in Toronto, Canada. During the two years he spent at Onex, Greg worked on the due diligence and execution of Onex’s investments in the aerospace industry, notably BBAM and its related investments in FLY Leasing and Meridian Aviation. Prior to joining Onex, Gregory worked in the Investment Banking division of Credit Suisse in Toronto for two years.
Gregory is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree (First Class) from the Queen’s School of Business.

Daniel Adler

Daniel Adler hails from Cleveland, Ohio and will not tolerate jokes about his beloved hometown. Before graduate school, he was Director of Football Research for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Yes, it was a little like Jonah Hill’s character in Moneyball. Before that, Adler worked for the Boston Consulting Group. During college, he spent summers with the Cleveland Browns and Major League Baseball. He looks forward to bringing some of the lessons he learned about data driven decision making to small businesses.

His first job after high school was driving a van for the New England Patriots, so MBAx will take him back to his roots on the road. Do not tell his teammates (or the Patriots) that he failed his driver’s test at age 16. Adler is also a law student at Harvard. After MBAx, he will spend two more years figuring out what to do with his life.
