Introducing Daniel, Dulce, Rebecca and Parasvil.
Dan is an MBA candidate at the Berkeley Haas School of Business. Prior to this, Dan served as director of K–12 education programs at The Philanthropy Roundtable, an association of nearly 700 philanthropists. Previously, Dan served as a Teach For America corps member on the Zuni Indian Reservation, where he taught high school history. Afterwards, Dan taught English and Western culture at a university in Shandong, China. He received his bachelor’s degree in international relations from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where he graduated cum laude and served as chairman of the senior class. Dan serves as president of the Berkeley Haas student body and serves on the board of a local charter school network.
Dulce is a 2016 MBA candidate at Berkeley Haas. She was born and raised in Mexico City, where she majored in International Relations and Business. Before Haas, Dulce worked for McKinsey & Company in Mexico City. Her work was focused in the public sector and healthcare industry, and she participated in the reports “Women Matter: A Latin American Perspective” and “A tale of two Mexicos: Growth and prosperity in a two-speed economy”. Additionally, she did pro-bono work for Deportes para Compartir, an NGO that teaches kids the Millennium Development Goals through games and sports, and ChildFund Mexico. Before McKinsey she was a venture volunteer at Ashoka, international social organization, where she engaged in the selection of social entrepreneurs.
Dulce came to Haas to pursue her interest in social impact and entrepreneurship. The innovative community has inspired and supported her in her aspiration to help businesses and civil society drive change.
Parasvil Patel is a 2015 MBA candidate at the Harvard Business School. Prior to business school, he worked as a consultant for the Mumbai and Boston offices of the Boston Consulting Group. His project work spanned multiple industries and functions (it ranged from cement sales acceleration in Eastern India to development of a solar cell manufacturing strategy). During business school he supported Jisto, an enterprise software startup, with business development activities. He grew up in India and graduated from IIT Bombay with a degree in electrical engineering. He will be joining KKR Capstone as an associate in NY post business school.
Rebecca is a MBA candidate at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). She grew up in China, Australia, Sweden and New York before moving out west. Prior to business school, she worked at Goldman Sachs and SmartAsset, a Y-Combinator financial technology startup. At the GSB, she is an Impact Labs fellow and is actively involved with the Women’s VC Fund, an early stage venture capital fund focused on sustainability and digital media. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, improv, and developing her budding parallel parking skills. She will be joining Warburg Pincus as a Vice President in the Healthcare and Consumer group in NY after graduation.
